Mr. Hari Mohan Gupta

Mr. Hari Mohan Gupta is a multifaceted personality – a journalist, an industrialist, an educationist, and a philanthropist. He is the Chairman, Jagran Social Welfare Society , Chancellor, Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal and Pro Vice Chairman, Delhi Public School at Bhopal, Indore, Kolar Road Bhopal, and Rau, Indore.

He has been a pioneer in bringing the concept of public schools to the education scene of Bhopal by opening the first ever public school in 2000. His vision and determination towards achieving excellence has motivated him to open four such public schools, one private university and three Shikshakendra which are laying the foundation of excellence under the aegis of Jagran Social Welfare Society and is currently teaching more than 14000 students and 1200 under privileged students in Shiksha Kendras free of cost.

Mr. Gupta, has also been associated with the profession of journalism in capacity of Director & Resident Editor (Owner), Dainik Jagran News Paper, Bhopal for the last 34 years, and has extensively traveled with the leading politicians to various countries to represent the country both in the capacity of a journalist and as a businessperson of India.

In the year 2013, Shri Hari Mohan Gupta was awarded “Education Evangelists of India” by Skill Tree Knowledge Consortium for being the top 25 educationist of India and was facilitated by the President of India.

In the same year he was also awarded with the Karamveer Chakra, an award jointly instituted by International Confederation of NGOs and the United Nations, for his exemplary contribution for bringing the underprivileged to mainstream education through Shiksha Kendra.

In the year 2017 Shri. Gupta was awarded with the prestigious “World’s Greatest
Leaders 2016-17 International Awards” in Dubai by Asia One and Ernest & Young. This award was presented to him for his outstanding contribution in the field of education which has made a positive impact in the Society.
