Health (Medical assistance)

• If you need medical help during the conference in Kecskemét, please use the options below. In an emergency, do not wait—call the emergency number immediately.

Emergency (life‑threatening)

• Call 112 (works from any phone, avalaible in english and german language).
• If possible, say: your location (“Neumann János University, Kecskemét”), what happened, how many people need help, and whether anyone has severe bleeding, breathing problems, chest pain, or is unconscious.

Adult GP on-call service (non-life-threatening, after hours)

• Felnőtt háziorvosi ügyelet (adult urgent GP service) – 6000 Kecskemét, Nyíri út 38. (at the hospital site).

During the conference

Please contact the conference help desk/organizers on site. They can call 112, help with basic communication, advise the best facility to visit, and help arrange transport (taxi) if needed.

Insurance, payment, and visa

EU/EEA/Switzerland

• Bring your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) and an ID/passport.

Outside the EU/EEA (including Asia and Oceania)

• You can still receive medical care in Hungary, but you will usually need to pay unless your travel/health insurance covers it.
• Bring: passport (plus visa/residence permit if applicable), your insurance policy details, and the insurer’s assistance phone number.

Visa status

• Being on a visa (or visa-free) does not prevent you from requesting medical help; the main difference is typically how the costs are covered (insurance vs. self-pay).
