Welcome to the website of the joint conference of John von Neumann University and AUAP! The occasion for which this website was created is both an honoring and uplifting feeling for the participants.
For the first time in Europe, the annual conference of the Association of Asian and Pacific Universities (AUAP) will take place. The priority of the European location also means that Hungary, and within it Kecskemét and John von Neumann University, will be the hosts.
The location is symbolic in many ways.
Hungary, the homeland of the Hungarians who arrived from the East during the migration of peoples 1130 years ago, is located in the middle of Europe in the Carpathian Basin, in the crossfire of peoples, languages, religions, and cultures. This diversity and constant struggles are embodied by Kecskemét, which is very proud of its Hungarianness, but still accommodates many religions and nationalities. The city, which has also been a stronghold of the Hungarian economy for centuries.
The university is named after John von Neumann, who was born in Hungary but spent most of his research career in the United States. He was primarily a mathematician, but thanks to his knowledge of mathematics and his diverse interests, he also made a lasting impact in quantum physics, chemistry, and economics. However, his main work in life was the creation of the foundations of modern computing as we know it today. Without his work, we would not be able to talk about the central topic of our current conference, artificial intelligence.
We are waiting for the leaders and researchers of the organization's 130 universities to the 38th annual conference of AUAP. We are waiting for researchers from Hungarian and other European universities to give scientific presentations related to the topics of the conference. Multicultural and global conference in the middle of Hungary in Kecskemét between May 19 and 21, 2025.
The language of the conference is English.
